Project : The Washing Line

The installation was designed and executed by Abraham le Roux and Nelius Britz.

At the Extreme Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa, life-sized cast and fused glass “garments” were bonded onto glass panels, serving as a wind-break on the perimeter of the Hotel’s pool area. Actual clothes were used to make the casting molds. Glass shapes were cut from coloured glass sheets and fused together flat and in a second firing slumped into the plaster molds.
